FAQ

1. How many Anker SOLIX E10 units can be connected to Anker SOLIX Power  Dock?

Each Power Dock supports up to three E10 units. When three E10 units are connected, two battery circuit breakers must be installed inside the ATS Box. For instructions on removing the jumper bar for live and neutral wires in the combiner box, please refer to the installation guide or quick start guide.

2. Does Anker SOLIX Power Dock or Anker SOLIX E10 feed electricity back to the grid.

No, neither supports feeding electricity back to the grid.

3. What is Anker SOLIX E10's maximum output power?

The output power depends on the number of battery modules: 1 battery module: Maximum continuous power of 7.6kW. 2 or more battery modules: Maximum power of 10kW, sustained for up to 90 minutes.

4. Does Anker SOLIX E10 support long-term outdoor use?

Yes. Anker SOLIX E10 features a NEMA 4 (IP66) protection rating, making it suitable for extended outdoor use.

5. How many photovoltaic (PV) inputs can be connected to Anker SOLIX E10?

"E10 supports up to two PV inputs, each handling a maximum of 4,500W (30 - 450V). Do not connect PV arrays with voltages exceeding 450V. To ensure safe operation, we recommend the following panel specifications for series connections up to 4,500W maximum: - 400W Panels: Recommended Open-Circuit Voltage (VOC) <38V - 460W Panels: Recommended Open-Circuit Voltage (VOC) <42V"

6. How many battery modules can be connected to Anker SOLIX E10?

E10 supports up to 5 battery modules, each with a maximum capacity of 6,144kWh.

7. How many installation methods does Anker SOLIX E10 support?

The system supports two installation options: wall mounting and floor mounting. Wall-mounted installation: Recommended for flood-prone areas. Ensure the wall's load-bearing columns can support the weight of Anker SOLIX E10. If unsure, please consult a professional to determine the installation site before installing. Each Anker SOLIX E10 power module weighs 60.6 lb (27.5 kg), and each Anker SOLIX B6000 battery module weighs 130 lb (59 kg).

8. Why can't the E10's charging power reach its maximum charging power at low temperatures?

To protect the battery and ensure long-term lifespan, E10 limits maximum charging power at low and high temperatures. Normal charging speed resumes when the battery temperature is between 59°F (15°C) and 131°F (55°C). If the battery temperature is below 59°F (15°C), the system activates the heating film to warm up the battery. When the battery temperature rises above 68°F (20°C), the heating film stops operating.

9. Can Anker SOLIX E10 and Smart Inlet Box be installed on a concrete platform outside the garage?

Yes. Both E10 and Smart Inlet Box have outdoor protection ratings, allowing them to be installed outdoors together.

10. What comes included with Anker SOLIX E10?

A complete system typically includes the E10 power module, the B6000 battery module, a connection hub (either Smart Inlet Box or Power Dock), and Smart Generator. Components can be customized to match your home's specific needs.

11. How long does the Anker SOLIX E10 battery last?

E10 uses durable components and retains 80% of its capacity after 4,000 charge cycles.

12. Can I monitor and control E10 remotely?

Yes. E10 supports remote monitoring and control via the Anker app, allowing you to track power generation and consumption, and turn the system on or off as needed.

13. Where can E10 be installed—indoors or outdoors?

E10 is rated NEMA 4, and Smart Inlet Box / Power Dock is rated NEMA 3R, allowing installation indoors or outdoors depending your needs. Smart Generator is rated NEMA 3R and must be used outdoors only, as it produces carbon monoxide (CO) during operation.

14. Does the E10 require maintenance?

E10, Power Dock, and Smart Inlet Box are maintenance-free. Smart Generator requires periodic maintenance. You can refer here for more details: https://youtu.be/XBRpG5GMmoI

15. What warranty does E10 come with?

The power module and battery module come with a 5-year standard warranty. Smart Inlet Box and Power Dock come with a 10-year standard warranty, while Smart Generator comes with a 3-year standard warranty.

16. Can I install E10 myself, or do I need a professional?

A professional electrician is required to install Smart Inlet Box or Power Dock and handle the main grid connection. Once that foundation is in place, you can install additional battery modules yourself to expand capacity.

17. How much can I save on electricity bills with E10?

When paired with Power Dock or Smart Inlet Box, E10 uses AC coupling, Self-Consumption, and Time-of-Use (TOU) Modes, combined with solar energy, to reduce electricity bills by up to 80%. Actual savings will vary depending on your situation. You can calculate your estimated savings using the E10 System Finder here: https://www.ankersolix.com/e10-whole-home-backup-system-finder

18. Can I use E10 with my existing generator?

Yes. Anker SOLIX E10 is compatible with most third-party portable and standby generators.
