FAQ

A single Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro can support up to five BP5000 expansion batteries. Each BP5000 has a capacity of 5kWh, bringing the total system capacity to 30kWh.

Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro is also backward compatible with the previous-generation BP1600 and BP2700 Expansion Batteries. Please note that the host unit's charging power may vary slightly depending on the installation order of the expansion batteries.

A single Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro can support up to five BP5000 expansion batteries. Each BP5000 has a capacity of 5kWh, bringing the total system capacity to 30kWh.

Each BP5000 Expansion Battery weighs 42 kg. Due to its weight, we recommend that two people carry the unit together.

Yes. BP5000 Expansion Battery supports mixed use with BP1600 and BP2700. To maximise charging power, we recommend stacking them from bottom to top in the following order: BP1600 (bottom) → BP2700 (middle) → BP5000 (closest to the host).

BP5000 Expansion Battery is compatible with Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro, Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro, Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro, Solarbank 2 E1600 Plus, and Solarbank 2 E1600 AC.

BP5000 has a capacity of 5kWh, BP2700 has a capacity of 2.68kWh, and BP1600 has a capacity of 1.6kWh. These three battery models can be mixed, with up to five expansion batteries connected to a single system.

No. Before installing or removing expansion batteries, you must completely power off the system and disconnect all PV and AC inputs. Hot-swapping while the system is powered on is strictly prohibited, as it may cause equipment damage or create safety risks.

Yes. When stacking expansion batteries, follow these guidelines: The bottom battery should retain its bottom rubber plug, but its top rubber plug should be removed. All batteries stacked above it should have both the top and bottom rubber plugs removed to allow the interface to connect correctly.

Yes, but this functionality requires a future firmware update. The stacking order varies depending on the host model. The host unit must always be placed on top.

- Solarbank 2 E1600 Pro with BP5000: BP5000 can be placed anywhere.

- Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro with BP5000: Place BP1600 at the bottom

- Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro with Multiple Expansion Batteries: Stack from bottom to top as BP1600 → BP2700 → BP5000 → host.
